I got my eyelashes tinted today. It was only $20, and it nearly eliminates the need for mascara (which I wear religiously). It was a fun way to start a morning, anyway.
Sweet merciful fuck, it's been boring around here! Blogging isn't quite as fun when there is not comment system. What happened, anyway? Hrumpf.
Going to the T. on Monday. Increasingly excited. I've been noticing I've been feeling downright...
sad lately. Not really sure what the cause is, but it's probably just an amalgom (sp?) of things. Anyway, one thing is for sure.. I need the diversion, and I need to reconnect with some old friends. And, last but not least, I need to drink a lot and smoke lots of drugs.
In a weeks time, I'll hopefully be able to post about all my misadventures with Justin Timberlake and Sass Jordan. Woopee.

10 Things Your English Teacher Didn't Tell You About MacBeth:
10) Apparently, latex condoms were
de rigeur in the Elizabethan Era.
9) The King drove a Cadillac Convertible.
8) The guy with the largest dong is the King.
7) Lady MacBeth smoked.
6) The story of MacBeth is not set in Scotland, but rather post-WWII Germany, or maybe New Jersey.
5) Obviously,
everyone liked to have a LOT of sex.
4) Lady and Mr. MacBeth are American, and everyone else is German, or perhaps Romanian.
3) But despite this, they all wear kilts!
2) The 3 witches all have speech impedements.
1) Hey, wait a minute . . . THIS ISN'T MACBETH!!!
(If you don't understand why this is funny, look up "In the Flesh", a 'film' 'based on' MacBeth, which I purchased and watched last night)

Well, it was funny when Homer did it - but
this scares me. Apparently there must be enough dumb-ass people to warrant Compaq putting this on their FAQ.
Here's the real question - If they are
that stupid, how the hell could they possibly know enough to search the FAQ?

My biggest dilema over the past week was what to wear at SARS-stock. Past experience dictates that sandals are
not a good idea for outdoor concerts, for several reasons - namely: Glass, hypodermic needles, and mud that may not necessarily be mud. Ugh.
So, I settled on sneakers. However, the sneakers I currently have (plain white, bought by my well-intentioned mother in Florida), will certainly not do. Rather, they would do, as long as I wore long pants to cover my shame. Also, I hate the look of socks and shorts, and I'm expecting it to be too hot to wear pants.. So, what's a girl to do?
Well, I just discovered those cutesy little socks that are designed to wear with sneakers. They're great! So, off I went to Zellers and got a pair of Reeboks (blue!) and got a 3 pack of those socks. Another dilema resolved! Though I'm still not quite sure what to wear
above the ankle. Any suggestions? I'm thinking capris and a light top. Yeah. That should do, right?
Y'know, folks.. When I started this blog, I never, EVER thought I'd be talking about socks. I really thought my life was more interesting. But, sadly, it's not. I need to have lots of casual sex and/or start taking more hallucinogenic drugs. Isn't that what all great writers do?
Anyway, back to the hum-ha of my daily life. Good news! The wankers who are organizing SARS-stock have finally loosened up the restrictions about what concert-goers can bring in. I think they realized that you cannot
not let people bring in food, water, and a place to sit down for that kind of concert. You'd start a riot. So, you can now bring cell phones, a soft cooler with soft drinks, water and snacks, and a towel. Fewf. But no firearms, booze, cameras, or chairs. Dang! I had my pistol all shined and ready! Seriously, though, this does make me feel somewhat better about going.

Hoorah!
Sarah just got a new apartment!
In other news, my sister and her boyfriend are coming down this weekend - should be interesting! She's pretty worried about the whole thing. I don't know why, we're all too busy finding her most embarrassing pictures from Junior High to be up to anything
bad.
Oh, I also got my hair cut! It feels better. I have to work on the styling though.
I'm also fighting off a cold. Not too happy about that.
Getting excited about Toronto. I'm pretty nervous about SARS-stock, though. Hm. Just lost my drive to write. I'll come back later!

After some retail therapy with
Sarah last night, I finally have enough points to get $75.00 of free stuff from
Shoppers. So, any suggestions? Practical or frivolous? I told Sarah I was going to buy $75.00 worth of lipsticks, and she thought it was a good idea. . .
I
could buy $75 worth of prophylactics, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

"She's 24, at least."
Ugh. So, although The Usurper's resume is impressive, as far as techinical computer experience is concerned, he has aboslutely no clue as far as covering your tracks after you use the computer. Obviously, he has never worked in an office setting, I assume. He doesn't clear the history, which to me is habitual. I definitely do that everytime I log off, as I cwuldn't want some people to see this page, which I got to daily. Anyway, he doesn't, nor does he know that our messenger stores your chats, unless you tell it not to. I was honestly looking for something, but then I saw the "My Chat Logs" folder, and had to check it. It was an overwhelming compulsion. I did go in there with the knowledge that I could come across something I didn't like - though most of it was pretty standard. He finds work boring, though is delighted he can sit around and chat when there's nothing to do. He doesn't like trackballs, and thinks I'm an old hag, evident by the quote above.
Okay, so I
am 24, after all; but,
at least?? What's that supposed to mean, ya punk?
I only went though half the logs. If I find anything else scandalous, you're sure to hear from me.

Holy shit. All I have to say is going to work is
much more interesting when you're listening to music! I usually bring along Harry Potter to read to make the travel more enjoyable, but at
870 pages it's a burden to lug around. So, I decided to take along my discman this morning and actually listen to my top 100. Usually, entering PPT is sort of depressing. Dark, quiet hallways, faint smell of bum and baking soda - but having
Cannonball blaring in your ears somehow turns it into a
big party.

Why do I always wear black to Bud-sit? I should know better by now. I'm covered in Bud. I even got a sweater out last night to go to bed to, and
it was Budified, too! Yeah, so promptly at 8:10am, he comes barreling into my room, looking for breakfast/bathroom. No bad, though, cuz I think last time it was more like 6:10am. But after I did all the Bud-ding around, I went back to sleep until a nice respectable hour - 10:00. Now I'm going to go outside and play with him a bit.
Oh, one last thing - never EVER drink Jack Daniels. Even it's it's hafl a shot with a gallon of Coke. Just
don't.

Some random thoughts on my way to work:
"Damnit, I got a blister on the top of my foot."
"Looking back, I guess you
can change a person, afterall."
"I left my water in the freezer; grr."
"If the world would do what Dad and I did, there could be world peace!"
"I like my pink shirt."
"On the other hand, the pink shirt makes me look like a flower - aaaah! Bug!!"
"Tucked-in shirts NEVER look good - on *anyone*."
"Mom always says that I'll go back to church when there's something major in your life that leads you there. She had open heart surgery, and both her parents died, and she never really went back. What kind of example is that?"
"I need to make an appointment to get my lashes tinted."
"The air is so good this morning. I can almost smell the ocean."
"I HATE souped up cars."
"The bus drivers is especially cheerful today. Then again, he has the next week off."
"I have to remember to watch Oz tonight."
(also, random bars from 'It's None of Your Business' from Salt n' Peppa)
I'm Bud sitting this week. May post due to boredom.

My summer student started today - from now on refered to as The Usurper.
Here he is, on the right most side. I nice guy really. My only complaints are 1) He's better at computers than me 2) He works too fast 3) When he's done what I've given him, he stands up and
paces 4) He's a very low talker. Oh well. Only 7 more weeks to go!

First off, who wouldn't want to be friends with
this girl?
In other news, yesterday was Spa Day with my aunt, Mary, and my mom, Mom. They come from a generation where the 'spa culture' was much more for the upper crust, and before we went, I could tell they were apphresensive about the whole thing. They didn't think they would enjoy it. However, this was the second attempt to get my mother to go to a frickin' spa, and I just knew she would like it, if she could just relax. And, I was right! That was the best part of the whole day... Everyone talking about how much they enjoyed the services. My mother is even talking about getting a facial done regularly. Success!
We then went to East Side's, where we all had a delicious meal, served by a delicious waiter. Then we almost got killed by a flying umbrella. It was worth it.
Also, my parents are going to the 'Chi for the Rock 'n Roll weekend. So, yet another weekend alone!

Though not confirmed, I heard that Sue Johanson will be speaking in Moncton sometime in September. I don't yet know where, or in what capacity, but I'll be there if at all possible! Woot! I also bit the bullet and wrote to SIDA/AIDS Moncton, looking to volunteer. Not really sure what will come of it.
This all comes a few days after my mother questioned my whole path in life (and that question was "You're not still doing
that are you?"). My mother has always been under the impression that I should go into computers, and my father has always been under the impression that I should be secretary. Surprisingly, my father has been somewhat more supportive than my mother. Either way, I just don't feel like they have confidence in me, at the same time I have the least confidence in myself. Hm.
